" At midnight a cry was heard . " Matthew 25.6

 

You probably know the parable of the ten virgins , five wise and five were imprudent .

Are you ready to meet Christ? At the time, to attend a wedding , we had a lit oil lamp . In the story , the arrival of the groom, five of them had more oil. They have asked the five others, who responded : " No, because there would not be enough for us and for you " (Matthew 25.9 ) . While they were gone to buy the wedding began and remained outside .

Jesus gives us here four essential lessons :

1. It is foolish to depend on others. Your parents may be Christians, but they will not lead you to heaven. It is up to you to accept Christ as your personal savior .

2 . It is illusory to prepare at the last minute. " And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came " (Matthew 25.10 ) . Note that the teaching of Jesus concerning the generation that will live at his return. Will you see the end of your life the decision to follow Christ?

3 . Judgment is final . "We closed the door. Later the other girls came and cried : " Master, Master , open to us ! " But the groom replied, " [...] I do not know you '" ( Matthew 25.10-12 ) .

4. The salvation by works is a utopia . These girls were virgins , and yet they remained outside . Nor our nature nor our works will not save us. "It is by grace are ye saved , through faith " (Ephesians 2:8) .

Are you ready to meet Christ? If this is not the case , put your faith in him now, and get ready .
