" Come near to God and he will draw nigh to you . " Jacques 4.8
God promises to approach you when you approach him. How can we approach Him ? Here are some indications :
You can get close to God as you are, where you are !
It should be noted first of all that the rest of this verse exhorts us to turn from sin , because sin separates us from God . Merely turn to God is the first way to approach him .
Then the Bible tells us to come into his presence with praise and thanksgiving. A grateful heart , facilitates the approach to God. In fact , Scripture tells us that God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
When your heart is humble before him, you can approach him. If you are looking for with all your heart , you will find it and he will draw nigh to you .
Seek God today by reading your Bible , praying , meditating on its promises and adoring . If you come with an open heart , you can approach God as you are , where you are , and he will fill you with His peace and goodness all the days of your life.
A Prayer for Today
Heavenly Father , I choose to approach you. I open my heart and I repent of anything that displeases you in me. Fill me with your power, so that I can live the life you have planned for me. I bless your name today and forever. In the name of Jesus. Amen .
