ÉZÉKIEL 1: 26-27-28 ***
26 ¶ Au-dessus du ciel qui était sur leurs têtes, il y avait quelque chose de semblable à une pierre de saphir, en forme de trône ; et sur cette forme de trône apparaissait comme une figure d’homme placé dessus en haut.
27 Je vis encore comme de l’airain poli, comme du feu, au dedans duquel était cet homme, et qui rayonnait tout autour ; depuis la forme de ses reins jusqu’en haut, et depuis la forme de ses reins jusqu’en bas, je vis comme du feu, et comme une lumière éclatante, dont il était environné.
28 Tel l’aspect de l’arc qui est dans la nue en un jour de pluie, ainsi était l’aspect de cette lumière éclatante, qui l’entourait : c’était une image de la gloire de l’Eternel. A cette vue, je tombai sur ma face, et j’entendis la voix de quelqu’un qui parlait.

figure d’homme. Dieu se présente sous une apparence humaine, bien qu’étant esprit (#Jn 4:24). Le Messie, Dieu incarné, est le représentant de la « plénitude de la divinité » (#Col 2:9), de sorte que cette vision pourrait constituer un prélude à l’incarnation du Messie en tant que sauveur et juge (cf. #Ap 19:11-16).
la gloire de l’Eternel. Cette gloire brille pleinement dans la personne de Jésus-Christ (cf. #2Co 4:6), et elle représente un thème récurrent chez Ezéchiel.
tombai sur ma face. En #Ap 1:17, Jean a la même réaction face à la gloire du Seigneur.

26 ¶ Above the firmament that was over their heads there was something like a sapphire stone , shaped throne and the likeness of the throne was seen as a man above upon figure.
27 And I saw as the color of amber , as the fire within which this man, who was beaming all around from the appearance of his loins even upward , and from the appearance of his loins even downward I saw like fire , and as a bright light , which he was surrounded .
28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around him : it was a picture of the glory of the Lord . At this sight , I fell upon my face , and I heard the voice of one speaking .

throne. # Cf. Ps 103:19 ; # Rev 4:2-8 .
human figure . God appears in human form , although spirit (# Jn 4:24 ) . The Messiah, God incarnate , is the representative of the " fullness of the Godhead " (# Col 2:9 ) , so that this vision could be a prelude to the incarnation of the Messiah as savior and judge (see # Rev 19:11-16 ) .
the glory of the Lord. This glory shines fully in the person of Jesus Christ (cf. # 2Co 4:6 ) , and it is a recurring theme in Ezekiel.
fell on my face . In Rev 1:17 # John has the same reaction to the glory of God.
