ÉZÉKIEL 16 : 60-61-62-63 ***
60 ¶ Mais je me souviendrai de mon alliance avec toi au temps de ta jeunesse, et j’établirai avec toi une alliance éternelle.
61 Tu te souviendras de ta conduite, et tu en auras honte, quand tu recevras tes sœurs, les grandes et les petites ; je te les donnerai pour filles, mais non en vertu de ton alliance.
62 J’établirai mon alliance avec toi, et tu sauras que je suis l’Éternel,
63 Afin que tu te souviennes du passé et que tu rougisses, afin que tu n’ouvres plus la bouche et que tu sois confuse, quand je te pardonnerai tout ce que tu as fait, dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel.

je me souviendrai de mon alliance. Dans sa bonté, Dieu trouve toujours un élément de son alliance qui lui permette de manifester sa grâce. Il s’agit ici du souvenir de l’alliance abrahamique (cf. #Ge 12:1ss), conclue dans la jeunesse d’Israël. La restauration serait le fruit de la grâce, non d’un mérite quelconque.
une alliance éternelle. C’est la nouvelle alliance, qui est inconditionnelle, salvatrice et éternelle (cf. #Ez 37:26 ; #Esa 59:21 ; #Esa 61:8 ; #Jér 31:31-34 ; #Hé 8:6-13). Le fondement de la grâce ne saurait être la loi mosaïque, que les Israélites ne pourraient jamais respecter, même avec les meilleures intentions du monde (cf. #Ex 24:1ss). Lors de l’établissement de l’alliance éternelle, Israël saurait que l’Éternel est Dieu, à cause de sa grâce.

je te pardonnerai. Ou « je ferai expiation pour toi ». C’est la croix de Christ qui est ici en vue (cf. #Esa 53). Par elle, la colère divine a été apaisée, et il peut désormais accorder sa grâce à tous ceux qui croient (cf. #2Co 5:21).

¶ 60 Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth , and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant .
61 And thou shalt remember thy ways , and thou be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, large and small , I give thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
62 I establish my covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD ,
63 So that you may remember the past and you confounded , so that you do not open your mouth and your shame , when I forgive you all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD .

I will remember my covenant. In His goodness , God is always an element of its alliance that allows him to express his thanks . This is the memory of the Abrahamic covenant (cf. Gen. 12:1 ff # ) , concluded in the youth of Israel. Restoration would be the fruit of grace , not of any merit .
an everlasting covenant . This is the new covenant, which is unconditional and eternal salvation (cf. Ez 37:26 # , # 59:21 Esa , Esa # 61:8 , Jer 31:31-34 # , # Hey 8:6-13 ) . The foundation of grace can not be the Mosaic Law , the Israelites could never meet , even with the best intentions in the world (cf. Ex 24:1 ff # ) . During the establishment of the everlasting covenant , Israel would know that the LORD is God, because of His grace.

I forgive you . Or " I will make atonement for you." It is the cross of Christ is here for (cf. ESA # 53). Through it God's wrath was appeased , and he can now give his grace to all who believe (cf. 2 Cor 5:21 # ) .
