ÉZÉKIEL 43 : 1 À 9 ***
1 ¶ Il me conduisit à la porte, à la porte qui était du côté de l’orient.
2 Et voici, la gloire du Dieu d’Israël s’avançait de l’orient. Sa voix était pareille au bruit des grandes eaux, et la terre resplendissait de sa gloire.
3 Cette vision était semblable à celle que j’avais eue lorsque j’étais venu pour détruire la ville ; et ces visions étaient semblables à celle que j’avais eue près du fleuve du Kebar. Et je tombai sur ma face.
4 La gloire de l’Eternel entra dans la maison par la porte qui était du côté de l’orient.
5 Alors, l’esprit m’enleva et me transporta dans le parvis intérieur. Et voici, la gloire de l’Eternel remplissait la maison.
6 J’entendis quelqu’un qui me parlait depuis la maison, et un homme se tenait près de moi.
7 ¶ Il me dit : Fils de l’homme, c’est ici le lieu de mon trône, le lieu où je poserai la plante de mes pieds ; j’y habiterai éternellement au milieu des enfants d’Israël. La maison d’Israël et ses rois ne souilleront plus mon saint nom par leurs prostitutions et par les cadavres de leurs rois sur leurs hauts lieux.
8 Ils mettaient leur seuil près de mon seuil, leurs poteaux près de mes poteaux, et il n’y avait qu’un mur entre moi et eux ; ils ont ainsi souillé mon saint nom par les abominations qu’ils ont commises ; c’est pourquoi je les ai consumés dans ma colère.
9 Maintenant ils éloigneront de moi leurs prostitutions et les cadavres de leurs rois, et j’habiterai éternellement au milieu d’eux.

43:2
la gloire du Dieu d’Israël. Dans les ch. précédant cette prophétie, l’accent était placé sur le départ du temple de la gloire de Dieu (voir les ch. #Ez 8:1-11:@). Le Seigneur avait abandonné son peuple à la destruction et à la dispersion. Dans le temple du millénium, la gloire de Dieu se manifeste dans toute sa plénitude après le retour du Seigneur en gloire (#Mt 16:27 ; #Mt 25:31). Les vv. #Ez 43:1-12 décrivent l’entrée glorieuse de Dieu dans le sanctuaire.
s’avançait de l’orient. La gloire se trouvait dans le tabernacle (#Ex 40:34-35) et dans le premier temple (#1R 8:10-11), mais pas dans le temple de Zorobabel. Ici, le Seigneur revient pour régner sur Israël. La gloire était partie vers l’est d’Israël (#Ez 11:23) lorsque Dieu avait jugé son peuple, et c’est donc de là qu’elle revient lorsqu’il le rassemble et restaure le culte.
43:3
Cette vision était semblable. Cette apparition de Dieu à Ezéchiel dans la vision est glorieuse, tout comme celle des ch. #Ez 8:1-11:@ qui décrivait sa venue, avec des anges, pour juger Jérusalem (cf. #Ez 9:3-11, #Ez 10:4-7).
près du fleuve du Kebar. L’apparition de Dieu est aussi glorieuse que celle de la vision de 1:3-28.
43:5
la gloire … remplissait la maison. La gloire de Dieu remplira son temple dans le royaume à venir (#Za 2:5), tout comme elle a rempli le tabernacle (#Ex 40:34) et, plus tard, le temple de Salomon (#1R 8:11).
43:7
le lieu de mon trône. Le « roi de gloire » (#Ps 24:7-10) réclame le temple du millénium pour y établir sa présence. Cf. #1Ch 29:23 ; #Za 6:13. Dans le royaume, il y aura des hommes qui ne seront pas passés par la résurrection et qui y seront entrés lors de l’avènement de Christ pour détruire les méchants. Ils l’adoreront dans ce temple bien réel.
43:8-9 Le temple à venir sera très saint, protégé de:
1° la prostitution que s’étaient permise les Israélites (#2R 23:7);
2° la souillure causée par la présence de tombes royales dans la zone sacrée du temple.

1 ¶ And he brought me to the door, the door was on the side of the east.
2 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the east . His voice was like a noise of many waters , and the earth shone with his glory.
3 This vision was similar to what I saw when I came to destroy the city: and the visions were like the one I had seen by the river Chebar . And I fell on my face .
4 The glory of the LORD came into the house through the door that was on the side of the east.
5 Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court . And behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.
6 I heard someone speaking to me from the house , and a man stood by me.
7 ¶ And he said unto me, Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place where I the soles of my feet , where I will dwell among the children of Israel. The house of Israel and its kings more defile my holy name by their whoredom, and the carcases of their kings in their high places .
8 They set their threshold by my thresholds , and their post by my posts , and there was a wall between me and them, they defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed c ' therefore I have consumed them in mine anger .
9 Now they are away from me their whoredom , and the carcases of their kings , and I dwell in the midst of them.

43:2
the glory of the God of Israel. In c. before this prophecy, the focus was on the departure of the temple of the glory of God ( see ch # Ezekiel 8:1-11 . @ ) . The Lord had abandoned his people to destruction and dispersion. In the temple of the millennium, the glory of God is manifested in all its fullness after the Lord's return in glory (# Mt 4:27 p.m. , # Mt 25:31 ) . Vv. # Ez 43:1-12 describe the glory of God in the sanctuary entrance .
advanced from the east . The glory was in the tabernacle ( Ex 40:34-35 # ) and in the first temple (# 1R 8:10-11 ), but not in the temple of Zerubbabel . Here, the Lord returns to reign over Israel. The glory was gone east of Israel ( Ezekiel 11:23 # ) when God had judged his people, and it is thus that she returns when he collects and restores worship.
43:3
This vision was similar . This appearance of God in Ezekiel 's vision is glorious , like that of c. # Ezekiel 8:1-11 : @ describing his coming, with angels , to judge Jerusalem (cf. Ez 9:3-11 # , # Ez 10:4-7 ) .
near the river Chebar . The appearance of God is as glorious as that of the vision of 1:3-28 .
43:5
glory ... filled the house . The glory of God will fill his temple in the coming kingdom (# Za 2:5 ) , as she filled the tabernacle ( Ex 40:34 # ) and later , the Temple of Solomon (# 1R 8:11 ) .
43:7
the place of my throne. The " King of glory " ( Ps 24:7-10 # ) claims the millennial temple to establish its presence . See # 1Ch 29:23 ; # Za 6:13 . In the kingdom , there will be men who will not be passed through the resurrection and will be entered at the coming of Christ to destroy the wicked . They will love this real temple.
43:8-9 The temple ahead is very holy, protected :
1 prostitution that had allowed the Israelites (# 2R 23:7 ) ;
2 defilement caused by the presence of the royal tombs in the sacred area of the temple
