1 ¶ Puis il cria d’une voix forte à mes oreilles : Approchez, vous qui devez châtier la ville, chacun son instrument de destruction à la main !
2 Et voici, six hommes arrivèrent par le chemin de la porte supérieure du côté du septentrion, chacun son instrument de destruction à la main. Il y avait au milieu d’eux un homme vêtu de lin, et portant une écritoire à la ceinture. Ils vinrent se placer près de l’autel d’airain.
3 La gloire du Dieu d’Israël s’éleva du chérubin sur lequel elle était, et se dirigea vers le seuil de la maison ; et il appela l’homme vêtu de lin, et portant une écritoire à la ceinture.

9:1
châtier la ville. Dieu convoqua les anges qui le servent pour qu’ils mettent en œuvre ses jugements. Ces bourreaux angéliques (cf. #Da 4:13-17, #Da 4:23) vinrent équipés d’armes de destruction.
9:2
six hommes. Les anges peuvent apparaître sous forme humaine lorsqu’ils s’acquittent de leur mission sur la terre (cf. #Ge 18:1-2 ; #Da 9:20-23).
un homme. Il était supérieur aux autres. Le « lin » était synonyme de rang élevé (cf. #Da 10:5 ; #Da 12:6). Il s’agissait peut-être de l’ange de l’Eternel, le Christ avant l’incarnation (voir la note sur Ex 3:2 {==> "Ex 3:2"}). Il possédait tous les instruments nécessaires à un scribe oriental pour accomplir sa tâche (vv. #Ez 9:4, #Ez 9:11).
9:3
La gloire … s’éleva. La gloire de Dieu s’en allait avant la destruction de la ville et du temple. Ce départ est décrit en plusieurs étapes successives: la gloire réside dans le lieu très saint du temple, entre les ailes des chérubins penchés sur le propitiatoire, de chaque côté de l’arche de l’alliance; elle se déplace ensuite vers la porte d’entrée (#Ez 9:3 ; #Ez 10:4), puis vers la porte de l’orient, vers la muraille extérieure (#Ez 10:18-19), pour se rendre, finalement, sur le mont des Oliviers, à l’est, où elle disparaît (#Ez 11:22-23). Elle reviendra dans le royaume futur du Messie (#Ez 43:2-7).

1 ¶ Then he cried with a loud voice to my ears : Come , you who must punish the city, every man with his destroying weapon in his hand!
2 And, behold , six men came from the way of the higher gate toward the north , every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. There was among them a man clothed in linen , and wearing a writing belt. They came and stood beside the brazen altar .
3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, and went to the threshold of the house , and called the man clothed in linen , and wearing a writing belt.

punish the city. God summoned the angels who serve so that they implement its judgments. These angelic executioners (cf. 4:13-17 Da # , # Da 4:23 ) came armed with weapons of destruction.
9:2
six men. Angels can appear in human form when carrying out their mission on earth (cf. Gen 18:1-2 # , # Da 9:20-23 ) .
a man. He was superior to others. The " linen " was synonymous with high rank (see # Da 10:5 ; # Da 12:6 ) . This may be the angel of the Lord Christ before the incarnation was (see note on Ex 3:2 { ==> "Ex 3.2 "}) . He possessed all the necessary oriental scribe instruments to accomplish its task (vv. # Ez 9:4 , # Ez 9:11 ) .
9:3
Glory ... arose . The glory of God went before the destruction of the city and the temple. This departure is described in several stages: the glory lies in the most holy place of the temple, between the wings of the cherubim looked on the mercy seat on each side of the ark of the covenant, it then moves to the door input (# Ez 9:3 ; # Ez 10:4 ) and then to the door of the east, toward the outer wall ( Ez 10:18-19 # ) to get finally on the Mount of Olives to the east , where it disappears (# Ez 11:22-23 ) . It will return in the future kingdom of the Messiah ( Ezekiel 43:2-7 # ) .
