15 ¶ L’ange de l’Éternel appela une seconde fois Abraham des cieux,

19 Abraham étant retourné vers ses serviteurs, ils se levèrent et s’en allèrent ensemble à Beer-Schéba ; car Abraham demeurait à Beer-Schéba.
20 ¶ Après ces choses, on fit à Abraham un rapport, en disant : Voici, Milca a aussi enfanté des fils à Nachor, ton frère:

on fit à Abraham un rapport. Cela prouve que, malgré les distances géographiques, les informations relatives aux généalogies circulaient dans le Croissant Fertile. Abraham apprit notamment la naissance de Rebecca, une cousine d’Isaac, fille de Bethuel (v. #Ge 22: 23). Abraham et Sara n’avaient donc pas rompu tous les liens avec leur patrie d’origine. Le frère d’Abraham, Nachor, vivait encore en Mésopotamie, et ils ne s’étaient pas revus depuis plus de 60 ans.
21 Uts, son premier-né, Buz, son frère, Kemuel, père d’Aram,
22 Késed, Hazo, Pildasch, Jidlaph et Bethuel.
23 Bethuel a engendré Rebecca. Ce sont là les huit fils que Milca a enfantés à Nachor, frère d’Abraham.
24 Sa concubine, nommée Réuma, a aussi enfanté Thébach, Gaham, Tahasch et Maaca.

¶ 20 After these things Abraham was told a report, saying, Behold, Milcah has also given birth to son to your brother Nahor:

Abraham was told a report. This proves that despite the geographical distance, the information on genealogies were circulating in the Fertile Crescent. Abraham learned including the birth of Rebecca, Isaac, a cousin, the daughter of Bethuel (v #Ge. 22: 23). Abraham and Sarah had therefore not broken all ties with their homeland. Abraham's brother, Nahor, still lived in Mesopotamia, and they had not seen for over 60 years.
21 Uz his firstborn, Buz his brother, Kemuel the father of Aram,
22 Chesed, Hazo, Pildasch, Jidlaph and Bethuel.
23 Bethuel begat Rebekah. These are the eight son that Milcah bore to Nahor, Abraham's brother.
24 And his concubine, whose name was Reumah, also Tebah, Gaham, Thahash and Maacah.
