128:1-6

Les pères (#Ps 128:1, #Ps 128:4), les mères (#Pr 31:30) et les enfants (#Ps 34:12) sont appelés à craindre l’Éternel. Jésus a peut-être utilisé ce psaume pour sa parabole des deux bâtisseurs (#Mt 7:24-27).

quatre bénédictions sont évoquées ici:
1° des ressources,
2° la prospérité,
3° un partenaire pour la reproduction et
4° une progéniture florissante.

2° nationales.

128: 1-6

A man who fears the LORD. This theme is also developed in #Ps 112: 1-6. A good definition is provided by the parallel: "who walks in his ways". The fathers (#Ps 128: 1, #Ps 128: 4), mothers (#Pr 31:30) and children (#Ps 34:12) are called to fear the LORD. Jesus may have used this psalm for his parable of the two builders (Mt 7: 24-27).
2 You then enjoy the work of your hands, You are happy, you prosper
128: 2-3
Four blessings are mentioned here:
(1) resources,
(2) prosperity,
(3) a partner for the reproduction and
(4) a flourishing progeny.
3 Your wife is like a fruitful vine in the interior of your house; Your sons are like olive trees, Around your table.
Olive trees. Springs grow at the foot of the olive tree.
4 Blessed is the man that fears the LORD.
5 And the LORD will bless you out of Zion, and you shall see the happiness of Jerusalem all the days of your life;
128: 5-6
